Dr. Haifa Maamar is the Director for Emerging Technologies, overseeing all technology and gaming programs at Full Sail University including the Information Technologies Bachelors and Cybersecurity Bachelors, Computer Science Bachelors and Masters, AI concentration, Mobile Dev. concentration, Game Design Bachelors and Masters, Game Dev. Bachelors, User Experience Bachelors, Simulation and Visualization Bachelors, and Web Dev. Bachelors.
Dr. Maamar has been leading the emerging technologies education initiatives at Full Sail University. Her expertise in Immersive Technology, Extended Reality (AR, VR, MR), AI and ML, Simulation, Gaming, User Experience, Cyber Security helped her prepare students for innovative design and development careers in dynamic fields like Augmented and Virtual Reality, Simulation, Gaming, IT, Cyber Security and Mobile and Web Dev. by creating, engineering, and delivering student-centered, technology-based curricula. Dr. Maamar is also leading two new initiatives to enhanced learning through the use of Extended Reality in education and building a metaverse for education.
Dr Maamar is an accomplished leader recognized for creating partnerships with tech companies for research projects in the areas of AR/VR/XR, Simulation, UI/UX, Gaming, IoT, Cloud and other emerging technologies. She was a key player in several partnerships such as Advent Health, Echelon Fit, NASA, Epic Games, MSI, and Magic Leap.
Dr Maamar is a strategic-thinking, innovative, and dynamic leader with over 15 years of industry experience and Research and Dev. (R&D) in emerging technologies with a superior record of accomplishment. She is the recipient of several awards:
2023: Silver Award for the Best Cybersecurity Education Provider Category – Annual 2023 Cybersecurity World Awards
2022: The Spirit of Innovation award for the 2022 Women’s Inspired Leadership Awards
2022: Gold Globee winner at The Globee Business Awards – 2022 Information Technology World Awards.
